To promote better acquaintance and closer association among its members, encourage organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States resident in this community, with a view toward the better knowledge on the part of

ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
OF
MEDFORD RIFLE & PISTOL CLUB INC.
We, John F. Rush, Roy Hewitt, D.J. Bolton, Octavia B. Waddell, and Harry W. Heidenreich Jr., whose names are hereunto subscribed, desiring to form a corporation under and by virtue of Chapter 452, Oregon Laws, 1941, providing for the creation of non-profit corporations, do hereby associate ourselves together and make and execute in triplicate the following Articles of Incorporation, to-wit:
ARTICLE I
The name assumed by this corporation, and by which it shall be known is the MEDFORD RIFLE & PISTOL CLUB INC., and its duration shall be perpetual.
ARTICLE II
The object, business, or pursuit in which this corporation proposed to engage is as follows:
To promote better acquaintance and closer association among its members, encourage organized rifle and pistol shooting among citizens of the United States resident in this community, with a view toward the better knowledge on the part of such citizens of the safe handling and proper care of firearms and the improvement of marksmanship. It shall further be the object of this corporation to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, and self-reliance which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.
ARTICLE III
The estimated value of the property and money possessed by this corporation at the time of executing these articles of incorporation is $650.00, and its revenues shall be derived from dues of its members, iniation fees, gifts and donations from its friends.
ARTICLE IV
The names and official titles, and the postoffice addresses of the persons executing these articles are:
John F. Rush, President and Director,
Medford, Oregon.
Roy F. Hewitt, Vice Pres. and Director,
Medford, Oregon.
D. J. Bolton, Secretary and Director,
Medford, Oregon.
Octavia B. Waddell, Treasurer, Director,
Medford, Oregon.
Harry W. Heidenreich Jr. Director, Medford,
Oregon.
The foregoing persons shall constitute a governing body which shall exercise the powers of this corporation, and shall be called directors, and shall be chosen from the membership of the corporation in good standing at the annual meeting each year.
ARTICLE V
The successors to the Board of Directors, consisting of five members shall be elected annually, at the annual meeting to be held on the Fourth Monday in October each year, at the office of the Corporation in Medford, Oregon, and the election of Officers from among the members of the Board of Directors shall take place at the said annaul meeting immediately after the election of Directors.
ARTICLE VI
The location and principal place of business of this corporation, and its principal office shall be at Medford, in Jackson County, Oregon.
