Came home and found a note on the frige.
“It’s not working. Can’t stand it. Going home to mother.”
I opened the door and light came on. Beer was cold. Never did figure out what she was talking about.

COST: $25.00 each or $30 for just the Arizona Course

(A typical savings of $50 over the regular $75 price at other places)

Directly E-mail Phil at PhilGrammatica@yahoo.com

The instructor told the jumper your main chute will open on its own.
If there should be a problem you have your reserve chute.

Just discard the main and open your reserve.
Then when you get on the ground the truck will be there to pick you up.
So he jumped.
The main didn’t open so he did as instructed then pulled the reserve.
It didn’t open either.
Great he said. I bet the truck won’t be there either.

FUTURE EVENT

Klamath MULTIGUN Match !!

October 22nd

The rules from USPSA multigun will be used.  We allow for Rimfire or PCC or Trooper at the club level.

3 – Stages relative big round counts and simple layouts just in case the weather has made a turn for the worst.

We will be using the multi purpose range and the 600yrd range.

This will be a novelty/random match with more focus on a boat load of shooting,

a few rifle targets and some fun props to start and/or use on the stage.

All three guns can be used on every stage.

Paper targets – Rifle or Pistol
Steel targets –  Pistol or Shotgun.

Round Counts

Rifle       – 7-55                        Shotgun –  0 – 35                    Pistol     –  0- 83

Round counts are based off of 1 round per target(bring 2x is good insurance)

The targets/stages allow you to use more pistol or shotgun or rifle depending on your preference.

If you shoot more with the shotgun the pistol will be less and like-wise if you shoot more rifle the pistol will be less.

I will have the actual stages for the next email I send out.

As always:
No steel core or bimetal bullets(magnets will be available if in doubt- DQ and repair cost for damaged targets)
No steel bird shot
No shotgun ammo greater than #6 shot (#7-9 are ok) or faster than 1300fps

I hope to see you at the match

Club Approves Changes to Club’s Operating Procedures

As Range Safety has to be keenly and constantly observed at all time at a shooting range:

At the general club meeting of the Medford Rifle and Pistol Club, September 20th, 2017

the following amendment

was approved by an unanimous vote of the members present,

and has therefore become part of the club’s Operating Policies.

Range Safety Violation Penalties Procedure**

With the first Range Safety Violation,

a member will receive a Warning Letter from the Safety & Security Director

about their breach of safety at the range.

Upon a second Range Safety Violation,

a member will again receive a Warning Letter, and

Lose their access to the range for a period of up to 2 weeks*, and be required to meet

with a Range Safety Officer(RSO) to get their range access reinstated.

Upon a third Range Safety Violation,

a member will again receive a Warning Letter, and

lose their access to the range for a period of up to 30 days*, and be required

to meet with a RSO to get their range access reinstated.

Upon a fourth Range Safety Violation,

a member will again receive a Warning Letter, and

lose their access to the range for a period of up to 60 days*, and

upon a recommendation from the Safety/Security Director,

a review of the member’s safety offenses** shall be made by the Executive Committee.

An Executive Committee meeting shall be held to determine

whether the member shall remain a member of the club.

The member shall be invited to this meeting, and may represent

themselves either in person or in writing.

If a negative determination is made, the matter will be put to a vote at the next Monthly General Club Meeting.

A member asked to leave the club for safety issue violations may not apply for membership again for at least a 2-year period.

*The security director has authority to make changes to the above time periods depending on his analysis

of the level of safety infraction.

** Since this is an amendment to current Operating Policies of the club, previous

incidents that warranted the issuance of Warning Letters of Range Safety Violations,

will also be included in a member’s record for consideration.

A union boss walks in from the factory next door and is about to order a beer when he sees a guy at the far

end of the bar wearing a TRUMP “Make America Great Again” cap with two beers sitting in front of him.
The union boss doesn’t need to be an Einstein to know that this guy is a Republican, so he shouts over to the bartender so loudly

that everyone can hear, "Drinks for everyone in here, bartender…. but not for the Republican."
Soon after the drinks have been passed out, the Republican gives him a big smile, waves at him then says, "Thank you!" in an equally loud voice.
This infuriates the union boss.

After a few minutes, the union boss once again loudly orders drinks for everyone except the Republican.

As before, this doesn’t seem to bother the Republican. He nods and smiles, and again yells, "Thank you!"
A few more minutes pass and the union boss orders another round of drinks for everyone except the Republican.
Just as before, this STILL doesn’t seem to faze the Republican who continues smiling and again yells out, "Thank you!!"

Frustrated that he can’t seem to get the guy angered, the union boss asks the bartender,

"What is wrong with that Republican? I’ve ordered three rounds of drinks for everyone in the bar but him,

and all the dummy does is smile and thank me. Is he a nut?"

"Nope," replies the bartender. "He owns the place."
